Infrastructure
Currently, LADWP is excavating the infrastructure along Sunset per the latest Navigate LA map. According to LADWP spokespeople, the intend is to underground the infrastructure throughout the Palisades. However, one thing that the homeowner should review on site is the current location of DWP’s Temporary Permanent Poles. If there are issues with the poles, homeowner should file an Application for Encroachment with the DWP. There are setback issues to rebuild within location with the poles. It does take LADWP time to respond. Water main replacement is on the way. LA DWP has requested for telecom companies to joint trench, but it’s still ongoing. Sewer will need to be examined too. However, we still need to hear from BOE and Public works.

LA DBS has also published an update to the Implementation Memo.
Climate Resilience District
During Tuesday’s PRC zoom meeting on rebuilding, it was revealed that Supervisor Lindsey Horvath has introduced a motion to create Rebuilding Authority along the Blue Ribbon Commission’s recommendation. This is so that Palisades can provide our own tax revenues for Palisades rebuild effort, including retrofitting the antiquated infrastructure. This leads to the creation of a Climate Resilient District per SB-852
